Virginia Feito is a Spanish novelist who writes in English. She was born in Madrid and studied at Columbia University in New York, where she later worked in publishing and film. Her debut novel, Mrs. March, appeared in 2021. It follows a wealthy Manhattan woman who slowly comes to believe her husband has based a murderer in his new bestseller on her. The book was widely reviewed and was optioned for a film adaptation. Her second novel, Victorian Psycho, was published in 2025. It is a gothic horror-comedy about a murderous governess in a Yorkshire household, and it echoes Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho in its title and its narrator. Feito's fiction pairs dark humor with close attention to social class, propriety and the unstable minds behind polite surfaces. Her work has drawn comparisons to Shirley Jackson and Patricia Highsmith.
