Every Albert J. Beveridge Award winner, 1939–2026
The Albert J. Beveridge Award has gone to 88 books since 1939; in 1960, 1970, 1971, 1995 and 2015 the prize was shared, and in 2 years it was not given at all. The American Historical Association gives it for a book in English on the history of the United States, Canada or Latin America since 1492. It was given every other year from 1939 to 1945 and every year since; the AHA now calls it the Beveridge Family Prize in American History. The latest winner is The Home Front by Lauren Duval (2026).
